Miranda's Legacy
Miranda, my mother, was a passionate seamstress and her Singer sewing machine, which she bought in the 1950s - long before I was born- was her prized possession.
When I was a child she would craft wonderful dresses for me and my dolls.
Miranda passed away in 2018, leaving me her beloved sewing machine, along with a cornucopia of fabrics, ribbons, threads, buttons and other sewing treasures - each piece a reminder of the precious memories we shared and the beautiful garments that she created.
Already an enthusiastic knitter, I decided to try my hand at crochet and, using mum's fabrics, I began creating dresses for my four granddaughters. By popular demand, this was extended to their class mates and teachers and now to you!!
I absolutely love making these dresses as it gives me so much joy to imagine my mum watching over me as I carry on her creative spirit and create these dresses in her name.
No two dresses are the same and I am happy to take bespoke requests.
